Mimi G. Strapless Jumper

Man, I love this thing!  It’s so amazing how a few yards of fabric can do so much to uplift your mood and attitude.  I’ve had my nose to the grindstone a lot lately so I’ve been wearing a lot of jeans and T-shirts or casual tops but the weather has been really nice and I wanted to wear something cute.  I’ve had this Mimi G. Strapless Jumper tutorial around for a bit but hadn’t gotten around to trying it because I needed a GREAT strapless bra to wear with it.  This one is by #Goddessbra which you can see at goddessbra.com where you can find a list of retailers.  I got this one at JC Penney but you can only find the extended sizes online.  Specialty bras in general are expensive and the plus size ones are indeed an investment but they open up so many fashion options.

I picked up this fabric awhile back during one of the FabricMart fabrics pyramid sales and while just as a flat fabric it wasn’t my favorite, I loved the color combination and at $3 a yard, I felt it was worth trying to find the right style to highlight the fabric.  I think I found a winner.

Pattern Description: Strapless Jumper

Pattern Sizing: Custom drafted pattern

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Definitely!

Were the instructions easy to follow? Super easy instructions and Mimi is a great teacher.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?  I love how quickly it came together and how cute and easy it is to wear.

Fabric Used: I used an ITY knit I purchased from Fabric Mart.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: No pattern or design changes.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?  This will definitely become a Summer TNT.

Conclusion: I don’t wear a lot of pants and certainly rarely a jumpsuit but this one was too cute not to try so I’m so glad I did.
